Our book this half term is Flat Stanley. We've been following him on his unique journey which is proving very exciting. Here is a small sample of the letters that we wrote as Stanley to Mr Dart and our beautiful kites that we created during our launch day.

Year 1 have had a great time working with KIXX during PE. They have focused on their fundamental movement skills, including jumping, hopping and balancing! Lots of fun was had and ,as usual, the children showed fantastic listening skills and great team work throughout.

As part of our art lessons, we have been tasked with learning how to
cross-stitch! It is not an easy task but you will see that we have made fantastic progress already. We are now able to thread our own small needles and create patterns with crosses in our Binca fabric. Please pop back soon to see our finished articles!

We can't believe a month has gone by already! What a busy time we have had. The children have been learning about our local area, looking at maps and discovering the train tracks nearby. We have drawn our own maps, built houses and made places to park our toy cars. We have been working on our gross and fine motor skills, using ribbons to make circles, zig zags and lines. We have been learning our phonic sounds and trying to write the letters that we have learnt. Keep practicing at home! We hope you enjoy looking at the photos of many of the things we have been doing.
