School Dinners

At Balby Central we provide a fantastic range of meal choices every day through Schools Catering Service.  Children are able to choose from a range of options and pre-book their dinners which include choices of a hot meal (including meat and vegetarian options) with alternatives of jacket potato with a range of fillings and cold sandwiches. Children will also receive a pudding and a cup of water with their meals. 

If your child is in Reception, Year 1 or Year 2 they are currently automatically entitled to free school meals, funded by the Government.

If your child is above Year 2 and you are not eligible for free school meals the cost is £2.80 per day, paid in advance through ParentPay.

Throughout the school year we also run theme days offering alternative menus linked to a particular celebration or event. information will be sent out near to the time of each event.
