Climate and Sustainability
The Rose Learning Trust and Balby Central are passionate about making a commitment to address the climate crisis by creating a more sustainable future. We aim to integrate sustainability principles into all aspects of operations and the academic curriculum. We will be addressing the crisis in four key ways, through decarbonisation, biodiversity, adaptation/resilience and curriculum.
Using a collaborative approach in school, working with all stakeholders (governors, staff, Champions of Change children and parents) our aim is to educate all to make changes which are supportive of a continuous improvement for sustainability and climate action.
Our children have already begun their journey to sustainability and designed our school mascots as well as presenting sustainable ideas to the leadership team. The Powerpoint shows our journey as it evolves.
The following document shows our planned actions.
